How to contact out of hours
care

If you have a medical problem which cannot
wait until the surgery reopens phone our usual
telephone numbers 0117 9620652/9624692
When the Medical Centre is closed the phone line
is redirected to the
Frendoc Out of Hours service which deals with
your out of hours medical problems.
You will be able to speak to an experienced
family doctor who may:
- Give advice and make recommendations.
- Ask you to attend a Primary Care centre to be
examined and treated;
- Decide to visit you at home if too ill to
travel.
If you need to attend a Primary Care Centre you
maybe asked to attend
- Frendoc Centre at The Greenway Community
Practice, Greystoke Ave, Southmead or

or
- Frendoc Primary Care centre at Frenchay
hospital. (see
map)

To be effective, this service requires your
co-operation and asks that you use it only if
you have a medical problem that cannot wait for
the Medical Centre to reopen.

medical emergencies only.
Minor Injuries Unit:

Hospital. Service for minor injuries and

NHS Walk-In Centres
There are two walk-in centres in Bristol where
patients can go for minor injuries and illnesses
such as strains and sprains, coughs and colds
and flu-like symptoms.
Emergency contraception is also available
