How to deal with an urgent
medical problem
When the surgery is open
If you, or a member of your family are in
need of urgent medical advice or treatment,
please telephone the surgery (0117 9620 652/9624
692) and speak to the receptionist.
Depending on the situation you may be offered a
same day appointment
(with a doctor or a nurse) or phone advice. The
genuinely housebound may require a visit,
usually from one of the GP’s at the end of
morning surgery.
Unfortunately it is not possible to request a
specific doctor.

Please call the normal surgery phone lines
when the surgery is closed and your call will be
redirected to Frenchay
