The Urgent Care Centre at South Bristol Community Hospital has extended its opening hours to provide bookable appointments between 8pm and 10pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday evenings.
Access to the service during these times will be by 111-initiated direct booking and patients will not be able to attend on a walk-in basis during the extended hours. The extended evening service has been introduced to relieve pressure on local Emergency Departments by improving patients’ access to local Urgent Care services in South Bristol.
It will be run as a six-month pilot initially and will be reviewed in August 2019. The walk-in service will continue to operate until 8pm and it is important that patients understand that access to the Centre after this time will be by appointment only via 111.
