The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically shifted the way we interact with you, offering more telephone and online triage than ever before. The demand for healthcare and general practice services are back to pre-pandemic levels plus the backlog accumulated since the pandemic began. Therefore we have adapted the way we utilise the full range of local healthcare services available to you. This is to ensure you receive the right care, first time.
For example, our experienced and trained reception team will ask you some more questions about your medical problem. This will enable them to direct you to the medical service best placed to help you. This may include your local chemist. We have also adapted the way we offer GP appointments. Most of the medically urgent on the day appointments are now released at 08.00, this means if your problem is medically urgent and must be treated by a GP today, the reception team will have greater flexibility to book this for you rather than asking you to call back later. Please remember though, that there is a finite amount of urgent appointments available so if your problem can wait few days the receptionist will arrange your appointment accordingly. Thank you for your co-operation with this.
We are confident that these changes will benefit you and expand the avenues of care provided for you. Please be assured that as your GP practice we are committed to providing you with the best care we can and offering you a range of services is always based on this principle.
