eConsult enables NHS based GP practices to offer online consultations to their patients.

This allows patients to submit their symptoms or requests to their own GP electronically, and offers around the clock NHS self-help information, signposting to services, and a symptom checker.

eConsults are designed to make it easier and more convenient for you to receive advice from the surgery.  EConsults are perfect for addressing issues that can be managed remotely through a text message or email response.

Important Note

Please do not use the e-consultation service to request face-to-face or telephone appointments. These appointments need to be arranged by contacting our reception team directly. Appointments are released at 08:00, Monday to Friday.

How does eConsult work?

eConsult is easy for patients and practices

eConsult lets you consult with your NHS GP online by completing a quick form that is sent and reviewed by the practice. You can also be directed to patient self-help, pharmacy advice and local self-referral services.

Here are some examples of how you can use our eConsult service:

  • Rash Advice: Upload clear photos of your rash and provide details of your symptoms. 
  • Medication Queries: Ask questions about your prescriptions or seek advice on medication.
  • Fit Note Requests: Request a fit note without the need for a telephone or face-to-face appointment.

What is the process? 

  1. Submit Your Query: Fill out the e-consultation form on our website.
  2. We Review Your Request: Your query will be directed to the appropriate member of our team – whether it’s a GP, pharmacist, or administrative staff.
  3. Receive a Response: We will respond to your query via text message or email, depending on your preference.
